Part of what makes Mountain Moving & Storage a trusted mover for the residents of Greater Tacoma and Seattle is our involvement in the local community. We’re a local family-owned business, and we love the state of Washington. That’s why we take every opportunity we can to support those in our communities by participating in events such as the recently completed Festival of Trees in Tacoma.
Mountain Moving & Storage is a proud sponsor of the Festival of Trees, an annual event that takes place in the first week of December and raises funds to assist the Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital and Health Center. There are 60 trees all decorated with their own unique theme, and all of which are auctioned off at the festival. Other events at the Festival of Trees include a gala, the “Jingle Bell Jam” music event, auctions and various social gatherings complete with food, refreshments and shopping, as many local vendors bring their goods to the festival as well. Items auctioned at the festival include cars, boats, motorcycles and snowmobiles.
The Festival of Trees has raised $24 million for Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital and Health Center since 1987, when the event first began. Last year alone, more than 800 local Tacoma and Seattle businesses and individuals collectively donated more than $540,000.
At Mountain Moving & Storage, we are happy and fortunate to be able to play a role in such a wonderful event. The Festival of Trees is an excellent example of the community spirit we see in the state of Washington every day, and it’s one of the reasons that living and working here is so special. Mountain Moving & Storage applauds the Festival of Trees, and their efforts to support the children and families of Washington.
