The results are in and they’re great! Google analytics reports that from October 1, 2012 to date, the organic, unbranded clicks to the Mountain Moving website are up 45%. Mountain Moving retained the services of Ottaway Communications just after the Stevens Phoenix convention. The Ottaway team, working with the Director of Marketing at Mountain Moving, Patrick Tuohy, began analyzing the website, the goals of Mountain Moving, the overall marketplace and its competitors.
Strategic changes were made to the website which is hosted on a Stevens server. Ottaway has access to this server and was able to make all the changes necessary to achieve the first set of goals. While results will vary between websites, an increase of 45% in organic, unbranded searches is considered excellent.
By way of explanation, an “organic unbranded search” means that Ottaway is only getting credit for searches to the website by visitors who found the website on the organic portion of a Google search engine results page. Furthermore, the brand name: Mountain Moving was excluded from all searches. What this means is that anyone who was already aware of the Mountain Moving brand name was not included in the 45% increase referenced above.
